Liam Payne's second solo album 'postponed'

Liam Payne's second solo album is reportedly 'completely on pause'

Liam Payne's second solo album is reportedly "completely on pause".

The 31-year-old singer was due to release the record – which would have followed on from his 2019 debut album 'LPI' – in the near future but those plans are believed to have been put on hold after his first single from the upcoming LP 'Teardrops' failed to chart in March.

It comes after the former One Direction reportedly parted ways with his manager earlier this year.

A source told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "Things are tough for Liam at the moment. His former manager Roger stepped back earlier this year.

"He was a steady hand for Liam and he appears to be struggling without his guidance. Things have started to seem slightly erratic, with plans being made before they are cancelled last minute.

"Liam had been doing really well on his second album but now it's completely on pause. Liam is telling people now he has no idea if it'll ever be released."

The report suggests a planned documentary about Liam's rise to fame has also been shelved.

It comes after the singer revealed he poured his heart and soul into the songs on his new solo album.

Speaking as part of a fan event earlier this year, Liam was quoted by The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column as saying: “This time, the scariest part is that every one of these songs is a story from my life.

"And they’re really close to me. I hope people feel that through every song, that I actually felt whatever it is you’re feeling right now listening to this."

He added: “We’ve rewritten a lot of these songs based off the idea of where we’re going with this and also how I’m feeling as a person.

"I used to show up to sing a song, then go. Absolutely not this time. We’re going to have fun with this."
