Liam Payne’s father Geoff Payne is being sued for defamation by the late singer’s friend Roger Nores.

The One Direction singer, 31, died from “polytrauma”, meaning multiple traumatic injuries, after he fell from a third-floor balcony of the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires in October, a UK inquest opening heard earlier this month.
