Liam Payne baffled viewers of Good Morning Britain yesterday.
On the morning talk show, the singer's red carpet interview from the Oscars was shown. He had been interviewed at the Academy Awards ceremony after Will Smith hit Chris Rock and he admitted he used to live near the Fresh Prince actor.
But, fans were distracted by what was going on with Liam's voice. The former X Factor contestant hails from Wolverhampton. However, viewers following the show on Twitter were distracted during the interview by how the singer's accent had changed since moving to the United States.

Today, Good Morning Britain decided to get an expert in to help clear up the confusion of what had happened to Liam's accent. Movie dialect coach, Elspeth Morrison said Liam was speaking in a form of 'alien'.
She said: "So I could hear at least five accents in there. I'm going to say Irish, Welsh, American, something European and definitely alien.
"He was all over the place. He was saying things like sun and nothing and cut like he might do in his own Wolverhampton accent. And he had things like daughter and beauty in a slightly more American way. And then the way he said you in actually a sort of old fashioned RP."
Host Richard Madeley weighed in with his own experience, as he said: "Well it's true, people's voices and accents do change. I saw an old clip of me on Yorkshire television from 30 years ago or more and I was talking like that." He put on a very posh accent before he added: "And I'm from Essex."
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV and ITV Hub
