Liam Payne is said to be looking to make a documentary about his life in the spotlight and has already met with a number of top producers.
Having shot to fame as a teenager as one fifth of boyband One Direction on reality TV competition The X Factor, as well as having openly struggled with drugs, alcohol and his weight over the years, there would seemingly be plenty of ground to cover.
That’s not even taking into account his relationship with Cheryl Tweedy, with whom he shares a son, and his short-lived fling with supermodel Naomi Campbell.
According to The Sun, the Strip That Down singer, 29, is believed to be particularly keen to push ahead after recently attending the premiere of former 1D bandmate Louis Tomlinson’s own documentary, All Of Those Voices.
A source told the publication: “Liam has debated the idea of doing a film for a while and has been self-documenting his career ever since his One Direction days.
“Going to Louis’ premiere in March really solidified the plan in his head.
“Last week he quietly held a few meetings with production companies in London about the project to see what they could do.”
While they admitted that it is still “very early days,” they noted how Payne along with the other members of One Direction are often compared to one another and he hoped to use the film as a way to “set the record straight”.
The Standard has contacted a representative for Liam Payne for comment.
