Liam Neeson has said he was "lucky" to have been in a relationship with Dame Helen Mirren.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight Canada, the Northern Irish actor labelled his ex as "a remarkable woman" and "a remarkable actress".
Dame Helen, and the Ballymena man, whose new movie 'Marlowe' is set to be released next month, lived together for four years in the 1980s. They both worked on the film Excalibur.

Speaking to ET Canada, Neeson told: “I should be so lucky and be honoured to have spent three or four years with that lady. She’s really something else...
“We didn’t date, we lived together for four years, we were a serious item for a while. Lucky me!”
The 70-year-old also said: “Before I met her and we worked together I had read somewhere that if she fancied a guy she would imitate his walk behind his back. I turned around one day and she was doing that to me.”
Speaking of the first time they met, Liam continued: “I remember being on the set and standing with Ciaran Hinds as Helen walked towards us dressed in her full Morgan le Fay costume and we both went, ‘Oh, f**k’ and I was smitten."
“I think Ciaran was too but I was very smitten," he added.
Dame Helen and Neeson previously appeared on The Graham Norton Show in 2018 together, with the NI man telling the same story.
The actress replied: "I never knew that, You've never told me that before. That's amazing."
In an exclusive interview with AARP back in November, Dame Helen said Neeson is an "amazing guy".
The 77-year-old explained: “We loved each other. We were not meant to be together in that way, but we loved each other very, very much.
"I love him deeply to this day. He’s such an amazing guy.”
Helen also opened up on how making clothes is a hobby of hers, and was asked if she made a shirt for the famous Taken actor.
“I did make one for Liam, oddly enough," she said.
