Liam Neeson has admitted that he 'fell in love' with a 'taken' woman while working on a movie in Australia.
The Irish actor spent several months in Melbourne back in 2020, while filming his new action movie Blacklight.
And it seems there was some love in the air during the time as the 69-year-old opened up about a mystery woman that caught his attention during his stay.
Speaking to Australian TV show Sunrise, the Co. Antrim native told hosts David ‘Kochie’ Koch and Natalie Barr: “I loved Melbourne. I loved our Australian crew, they are fantastic workers.”
“Every department was superb. They were their own people, do you know what I mean? They had a great sense of humour.”
Grinning, the dad-of-two went on to confess: "I made a couple of pals... I fell in love once there, but she was taken.
"I look forward to going back, I really do," he added.
The Channel Seven hosts were intrigued by the revelation and asked viewers to help find the mystery woman.
David said: “If you know the lady involved, go to the Facebook page. Give us some hints.”
Liam said he had always wanted to return to Australia after working there briefly to promote Neil Jordan's film Michael Collins in 1996.
"It was literally only about four days but I always wanted to go back so I jumped at the chance at doing this Blacklight."
Liam also told how he was spoiled by Irish nurses whilst he was isolating for the project.
"I knew there was two weeks of lockdown in Sydney which I thoroughly enjoyed," he said.
"It was a good hotel and also there was a bunch of Irish nurses.
"I would get calls from the Irish nurses saying 'Mr Neeson, we have just taken some Irish bread we have cooked out of the oven, can we take you up some?
"And I thought this was a joke. But ten minutes later I open the door and sure enough there were five or six nurses all in PPE gear with a plate of bread or Irish scones, which was terribly sweet."
His personal admission about his new romantic interest came as a surprise to fans of the Ballymena born star, who is usually private about his love life.
The Taken star has kept a low profile about his relationships since the heartbreaking death of his late wife Natasha Richardson.
The Parent Trap actress sadly passed away on May 18, 2009 at the age of 45, after a tragic accident during a ski trip in Canada.
Liam and Natasha had been married since 1994 and shared two sons, Daniel and Micheál.
