Liam Gallagher sparks Oasis Glastonbury reunion rumours with 'big news' tweet

Liam Gallagher has sparked a fan frenzy with a post about a 'big entrancement' having many of his followers speculating that an Oasis reunion is on the cards for Glastonbury.

It's been years since Liam has performed alongside his brother Noel, with their very public fallout often brought to the fore by Liam himself and his jabs at his famous sibling online.

Both Liam and Noel have tasted great success as solo artists, with hit albums and sell out tours but for more than 12 years now fans have been crying out for an Oasis reunion, with the band's last tour being in 2009.

On Wednesday evening, Liam took to Twitter to post: "Big announcement tmoz and I mean BIG bigger than my nose bigger than rkids rite said Fred f**king massive so stay tuned."

At the time of writing, Liam's tweet had been retweeted over 2,000 times, with thousands of comments underneath.

One fan quickly commend: "Oasis are getting back together," with another replying: "That's what I thought.... The Gallagher boys are still brothers and like me and my bro, we always got over our s**t eventually....."

Liam directly responded to a number of fans' replies but stayed silent on the ones who asked him out right on whether an Oasis reunion for Glastonbury was on the cards.

Oasis shot to fame in 1994 with their critically acclaimed debut album Definitely Maybe, featuring classic tracks like Cigarettes & Alcohol, Rock and Roll Star and the anthemic Live Forever.

After their track Roll With lost the much hyped battle for number 1 in the summer of 1995 to Blur's country House, Oasis had the last laugh in serious style when their second album What's The Story Morning Glory trounced Blur's and went onto be one of the most iconic in British music history.
