Liam Gallagher has revealed he needs a hip replacement but is apprehensive about the surgery and would 'rather be in pain.'
The former Oasis frontman, 49, has arthritis due to a thyroid problem but fears the operation could go wrong. He said he preferred the idea of other half Debbie wheeling him around like the characters Lou and Andy in BBC comedy Little Britain.
“My hips are f***ed... I’ve got arthritis bad,” he told Mojo. “I went to get it checked and my bones are mashed up. The lady was going, ‘you might need a hip replacement. It’s not as bad as you think, the recovery will be a couple of months’.

The dad of four added the “one in a million” chance he could die during the operation is too much, reports the Mirror. He said: “I’m definitely on the downwards slide, though. I can’t sleep for the pain. So I’m on herbal sleeping tablets and they’ve saved my life.
“I can’t [have the hip replacement]. I’m not going to crisp it having my hip cracked, thank you. I’d rather be in a wheelchair, with [wife] Debbie pushing me around, like Little Britain.”
Earlier this month, the rock legend made headlines when he branded almost all judges 'massive c****' after one labelled his son 'entitled ' for his part in a 'brawl' with Ringo Starr's grandson. He launched an expletive-loaded tirade on social media as he spoke out over his son Gene's experience in court.
Gene, 20, was accused of taking part in a scuffle when a Tesco Express worker tried to stop his friend stealing a can of gin and tonic worth £1.70. He and Sonny Starkey, 21 - grandson of Beatles drummer Ringo Starr and nephew of drummer Zak Starkey - were described as 'entitled young men thinking they can get what they want by misbehaving' by Judge Joanna Greenberg.
The fight erupted at Tesco Express in Hampstead, north-west London, when staff tried to stop Gallagher and Starkey’s friend Noah Ponte, 21, leaving with the can. Starkey and Gallagher were accused of throwing 'kicks and punches' as they 'windmilled' down the aisle with their fists and feet at a shop worker who tried to stop them leaving in May 2019.
All three denied charges of affray and assault. Gallagher and Ponte also denied racially aggravated assault. The charges were dropped when they agreed to be bound over for 12 months and Ponte was acquitted of theft.
