The roof will be in danger of being lifted off Newcastle's Wylam Brewery this week, when a line-up including Sam Fender's brother Liam, the Brit winner's superbly talented saxophone player Johnny Blue Hat and 90s legends hit the stage for Rock 'n' Raise.
The annual event aims to raise as much money as possible for three fantastic causes: the Teenage Cancer Trust, Cash for Kids North East and the Graham Wylie Foundation and organisers have assembled quite possibly the best line-up to date for 2023.
Over the years the likes of Kodaline and Duran Duran legend Andy Taylor have graced the stage at Wylam Brewery and following in their footsteps on Wednesday, April 12 is a bill of acts that is both excellent and eclectic. Just like brother Sam, Liam Fender has a knack for a fantastic song lyric, showcased on his two single releases to date - Love Will Conquer and Don't Follow Me Down.

There will be another connection to North Shields' Brit winner Sam at the event, as his supremely talented saxophone player Johnny Blue Hat will also be performing; sharing the stage with two 90s dance icons: Bluey from Incognito, the act responsible for the anthemic Always There and Don't You Worry About A Thing.

He will be backed by the superbly soulful sounds of Groovetrain and there will also be an appearance from Shovel from M People, the group who can count Movin on Up and Sight for Sore Eyes amongst their many hits.
