Liam and Noel Gallagher could potentially be set for a reunion amid ongoing pressure from Oasis fans for the feuding brothers to get the iconic 90s band back together.
The famous brothers have reportedly 'floated the idea' of going to see Manchester City play a match together.
Failing that, Noel, 55, and Liam, 50, have reportedly been 'in talks' to meeting for a walk North London's Hampstead Heath which is near to both of their homes.
The Manchester brothers, who famously fell out after a brutal row before Oasis split in 2009, are said to be in contact with one another 'behind closed doors' following Noel's recent split from wife Sara McDonald.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Noel and Sara, who were married for 22 years, went their separate ways.
Throughout their 22-year-marriage, Noel's younger brother Liam made it blatantly obvious that he was not a fan of Sara's as he publicly called her out on more than one occasion, even branding her a 'witch' at one stage.
Liam also famously accused Sara, 51, of preventing Oasis' reunion in blistering Twitter attack back in 2018.
Lifting the lid on the brother's attempt to repair their relationship, a source has claimed: "Noel and Liam are in contact behind closed doors. They are tentatively taking steps to meet up and rebuild their relationship.
"There’s a lot of lost time to make up for and both have missed out on ups and downs in each other’s lives. They need to patch up their brotherly bond before they even think about getting back in the studio for an Oasis reunion, but the wheels are in motion.
"Liam’s relationship with Noel’s wife was a huge obstacle to them reforming, but that’s no longer an issue. Their family are encouraging them too," the source added to The Sun.
The insider went on to claim that the brothers are 'floating the idea' of seeing a Man City game together or going for a 'low-key' walk in Hampstead Heath.
It comes after Noel said he is 'still waiting' on Liam to ring after he told his brother to 'call us' about arranging an Oasis reunion.
The longstanding fallout between the brothers has led to much speculation from fans who are desperate for a reunion.
Oasis separated in 2009 and the brothers have barely been on talking terms since.
Yet, reaching out to Liam on social media, Noel told his brother to call him to discuss the idea.
Responding to a fan on Twitter asking Liam if there was a 'small percentage' the group would get back together, the rock and roll star replied: 'It's happening'.
After hearing about his social media tweets, Noel responded during a chat with France Inter.
"He should get his people to call my people; they know who they are, they know where we are.
"Stop talking on the f***ing internet, and let’s see what you’ve got to say," the High Flying Birds singer said.
Since extending an olive branch, Noel says he hasn't had any contact from Liam.
“He should do it, I’m still waiting for the phone to ring. He should stop yakking on the internet,” he told Talksport.
In response to Noel's initial offer, Liam took to Twitter and wrote: “Here’s how I see it the little fella aka potato has done a lot of damage to Oasis as a band / brand he’s got a lot of making up to do not just to me but to you the fans the people that put us where we are today as you were LG x”.
Noel previously discussed the possibility of a reunion in the 2021 documentary, Out Of The Now.
"I don't have any problem reconciling with the past – Oasis was the greatest thing that's ever happened in my life to me, ever and ever will be," he said.
"You're on stage in those mega, mega gigs that we did and seeing it and, you know, we started from a council estate in south Manchester.
"To get that big is the most incredible thing ever – the fact that group is embedded in people's heads is an amazing, amazing thing."
