Blackburn Rovers supporters have sent grovelling apologies to Nottingham Forest midfielder Lewis O'Brien after his loan move to their club was blocked.
O'Brien agreed a temporary switch to Blackburn on deadline day last month, but some paperwork was filed after the 11pm cut-off. After a lengthy legal process, the move has finally been blocked from happening. It leaves O'Brien in limbo, unable to play competitive football until the summer - unless he joins a club in a country whose transfer window is still open.
After tweeting about his disappointment, O'Brien was flooded with messages from Blackburn fans apologising for the situation. Below is a look at what some of them had to say.
