Lewis Capaldi spotted at popular Glasgow restaurant ahead TRNSMT appearance

The final day of TRNSMT 2022 is now underway and festival-goers are in for yet another glorious day of sunshine.

According to the Met Office, fans heading to Glasgow Green for the will bask in highs of 23C with people being warned to stay hydrated. It comes as ticket holders were left queuing at the entry barriers for around three hours on Saturday (July 9) with attendees claiming it was around two hours before they were given water.

But as fans make their way to the east end of the city for more singing and dancing, one headline act made his way to the opposite end of the city ahead of his TRNSMT appearance.

Taking to Instagram, Glasgow's award-winning restaurant La Lanterna, located in the west end, snapped a picture with the Scottish icon.

Writing in their caption they said: "@lewiscapaldi was missing on our list of celebrity guests - until last night! Now he's off to headline @trnsmtfest this evening!"

The much-loved eatery is a hit with fans of Italian food across the city and it seems it's a local hot spot for celebrities too with TV and radio host, Ross King, having just recently dined there only a few days ago.

Having just performed in Malta at the weekend, the 25-year-old will take to the main stage later today with the 'Someone You Loved' singer set to start his performance at 9:20pm and ending the gig just before 11pm.

The 'Before You Go' singer was having a well-deserved break with friends after he returned to the stage this year, following a brief hiatus from the limelight in 2021.

Set to join the songwriter today include the likes of Nina Nesbitt, Mimi Webb, Sigrid, DMA's and Wolf Alice - to name a few.
