Lewis Capaldi turned 26 yesterday, but missed most of his day due to being extremely jetlagged. The Forget Me singer took to Instagram to mark the occasion a day late and shared one gift he was sent as a sweet surprise.

Lewis was sent a birthday cake, which featured an adorable throwback snap of himself emblazoned in icing. Lewis firstly posted a selfie of himself thanking fans for the birthday wishes. He wrote:"Thank you for all the birthday wishes yesterday folks, I have the worst jet lag ever so slept through most of it."

In the next slide, he posted a picture of the cake which was sent by Capitol Music. The cake contained the picture of young Lewis wearing a bow tie and clasping his hands.

He included lots of laughing face emojis and thanked the company for their kindness. Lewis' celeb pal Niall Horan also wished the singer a happy birthday by sharing a photo of two pints of Guinness with their photo on the top .

Just last week, the 26-year-old dropped his official advert for his brand new venture which has saw him release his own range of pizzas. 'Lewis Capaldi's Pizza the Big Sexy Meaty One' and 'Lewis Capaldi's Pizza The Big Sexy Cheesy One' are both available to buy from the official Iceland website for just £5 each. Lewis revealed that the idea came to him during lockdown when the nation was stuck inside and getting busy in the kitchen.

He said: "Well, basically, I think lockdown spurred on a lot of ideas for a lot of people. I saw a lot of people on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter getting really into you know, your banana breads and what have you, baking cakes and I turned to sourdough.

"Sourdough is my solace. The cogs started turning and I thought, pizzas could be my true calling."
