Lewis Capaldi was fuelled by Greggs for his sold-out Newcastle show on Saturday night.
The Scottish star wowed fans at the city's Utilita Arena when he performed a range of hits as part of his tour 'Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent.' And now Newcastle baker Greggs has revealed that the 26-year-old had been powered by their sausage rolls which were delivered to him backstage before his show.
Capaldi was delighted by the tasty surprise, with the 'Someone You Loved' singer said to be a huge Greggs fan. The star even went as far as doing "work experience" at one of the chain's Middlesbrough stores ahead of Radio 1’s Big Weekend in 2019.

Capaldi took to Instagram Stories to share how pleased he was with the gift from Greggs and posted a snap of himself and the huge box filled with 17 sausage rolls and the caption, “LOVE YA @greggs_offical."
The box even came emblazoned with the words ‘roll on the celebrations' in a clever nod to his flakey favourite.
A Greggs spokeswoman said: "As a well-known Greggs fan, there was no better time to surprise the star with this pre-show snack than in the brand’s hometown."
