Lewis Capaldi has thanked his fans for downloading his new single Pointless by calling them for a chat.
The Scots singer decided to contact some of his fans directly and videoed the outcome.
He videoed some of the calls and shared them on his Instagram page.
Sharing the clips of him phoning, Lewis said: "Calling people who downloaded my new single to thank them, this is Lily, come on Lily answer the phone to me."
However, the minute the singer said: "Hello, is this Lily?" she appeared to hang up. It happened another once and Lewis said: "This is quite sad!"
When another call was connected, the 26-year-old said: "Hello is this Gemma? I saw that you downloaded Pointless, I thought I would reach out and say thank you very much for making chubby little Scottish boy very very happy."
Many other fans were elated to get the phone call from the star.
And at the end when one call went to voice mail, Lewis said: "Charlotte, it's Lewis Capaldi here I am f*****g furious that you have not answered."
And fans were in stitches at the video.
One wrote: "I think I’d either start scream-swearing or just simply pass away if I got a call from LEWIS CAPALDI."
Another said: "Hahahahaha “i am f*****g furious, that you have not answered your phone” sent me."
While one penned: "Love this!! So down to the earth."
