Lewis Capaldi fans in stitches as he reveals crude reason he never recorded album in lockdown

Lewis Capaldi fans were left in stitches after the star revealed the crude reason he had not made a new album during lockdown.

During a gig in Dublin on Saturday, Lewis revealed that he had spent the majority of his time during the pandemic "masturbating".

The Scots crooner made the joke as he played to a sold out crowd in Malahide Castle, more than two years after the show was supposed to take place.

As reported in the Irish Mirror, Covid delays meant Lewis was finally able to play his first album to the fans, although he started off the night by apologising for not having any new songs.

The hilarious singer had fans in stitches throughout his gig, even running off stage as he was "dying for a piss" at one point during the concert.

Capaldi stopped the gig at a number of points after spotting medical issues in the crowd, keeping people entertained with his musings in the meantime.

The young Scot rattled off all the hits from his one and only album, which didn't disappoint the crowd that had been waiting so long to see them.

Claudine, Lewis and Robbie (Claudine Keane)

Former Celtic and Ireland star Robbie Keane was even spotted singing along with his wife Claudine as they enjoyed the concert.

Claudine posted photos of the family meeting Lewis at the gig on her Instagram story alongside a number of Lewis belting out songs.

And while the star joked he had other things to do during Covid lockdowns, his new album is reportedly set to be released in the near future.
