Lewis Capaldi jokes ideal woman has low standards and isn't bothered about size of things

Lewis Capaldi has admitted he is currently single as he joked about what he looks for in his perfect partner.

The 25-year-old Scottish singer, who has recently been kicked off Tinder, said he wants a woman who has "low standards" and isn't too concerned about "the size of certain things".

Lewis split from his last girlfriend, Catherine Halliday, just before lockdown after seven months of dating. The pair were said to be "smitten" with each other but decided to separate due to Lewis' busy work schedule.

Speaking on Magic Radio Breakfast about his ideal woman, he said: "I would say good sense of humour, low standards, not too worried about the size of certain things, a small lady with small hands."

Lewis has recently released his first single in three years and said he wrote the song, , Forget Me, after being "miserable" that an ex-girlfriend seemed to be doing better than him following the breakup.

He said: "I was in a relationship with a lady, we had been in a relationship, and it had been about a year later since I wrote that song, so she seemed to be in a much happier position than I was, and I didn’t like that.

"In fact, I can say this, I hated it. I wanted her to be miserable, so I wrote this song about it."

Forget Me has soared to the top of the charts, racking up more than 56,000 first-week chart sales, according to the Official Charts Company.

The musician said his next album is finished but admitted he is unsure about when it will be released.

Lewis recently spoke about the difficulties of dating as a musician and said he has been kicked off all major dating apps due to people thinking he's an imposter.

"I've just been kicked off Tinder because people think I'm fake, I've been kicked off Bumble, Tinder and Hinge," he told the Diary of a CEO podcast.

Lewis said he was using dating apps because he liked hanging out with new people and said he would be "buzzed" if he ended up meeting the right person.

It comes after the hitmaker had fans in stitches as he offered Lorraine Kelly "seven inches of me" during an appearance on her ITV show.

Lewis handed the host a vinyl record of his new single and said: "There you go, my seven inch... [pause] record."
