Lewis Capaldi was chuffed to bits when a Scots baker surprised him with a life-like cookie of himself. The Someone You Loved singer was enjoying a Father's Day meal in Amore D'Italia on Sunday night when the owner's wife, Magda Lo Bianco, gifted him a portrait cookie and also a 'Scottish Beyonce' one.
Magda runs Glasgow-based Rude Cookies and had been inspired to cook up something special for the star because she's a "huge fan". She told the Daily Record: "I’m a huge fan so I couldn't miss the opportunity and made a couple of cookies for him."
She added: "He is such a warm and genuine person and also very approachable, there was a bunch of kids that took photos with him and I heard one of them saying 'this is the best day of my life'."
Posting the video on the Rude Cookies Instagram page, proud Magda shared Lewis' reaction to the quirky gift.
As well as the portrait, she made Lewis a sweet treat in the shape of him as Beyonce, in a nod to his own self-coined nickname 'The Scottish Beyonce'. In the video, Lewis opened the gift box and said: "Oh wow that's class - me as Beyonce? I've got hairier legs than that! That's class! Thanks so much, beautiful art, Thanks very much!"
He gave Magda a huge cuddle for her kindness.
Back in 2019, Lewis branded himself the 'Scottish Beyonce' which was the inspiration behind Magda's cookie. The slogan appeared on a London Underground billboard.
The picture of the sign featured an image of the West Lothian native with a bath towel on his head while he wore red glasses and gave the peace sign. There was also a quote from Capaldi when he called himself the 'Scottish Beyonce'. The quote said: "The Scottish Beyonce on a London Underground billboard. Finally famous." Whilst Lewis was in the Dennistoun eatery, he had a shot pouring pints behind the bar.
The 25-year-old made his highly anticipated return to the stage for the Isle of Wight festival on Saturday night, and treated fans to a stellar performance. The restaurant shared the hilarious clip of Capaldi behind the bar, writing: "Thank you Lewis Capaldi you're a star!"
Capaldi was visiting the east end restaurant on Sunday night with his parents Carol and Mark, alongside his three siblings Danielle, Anthony and Warren. The Before You Go singer enjoyed a chicken burger from the renowned Italian restaurant, and posed for photos alongside staff and guests.
Knowing the West Lothian born singer would be appearing in his restaurant for dinner, owner Luca decided to think up something fun for Capaldi to do when he arrived and opted for him to try his hand at bartending.
The video sees Luca, 38, asking Capaldi how long for a pint as the flustered singer works behind the bar. Capaldi can be seen behind the tap, telling him: "Just a minute."

Capaldi can be seen behind the tap, telling him: "Just a minute." Before the glass seemingly fills up with mostly foam, Capaldi says: "Oh god, this is not ideal. I'm usually really good at this!"
Speaking to the Daily Record, Luca noted that not everyone can say that Lewis Capaldi has poured them a pint. Fans loved the hilarious video of the Bruises singer putting a shift in at the restaurant.
