Lewis Capaldi belts out favourite Celtic tune and jokes about Scottish accent during Hot Ones

A familiar face has appeared on the famous Hot Ones interview - and it is 23 minutes (and 12 second) of sheer gold.

Lewis Capaldi took part in the famous spicy chicken wings challenge which saw him eat 10 increasingly spicy wings whilst being asked questions by interview host, Sean Evans.

The hugely popular YouTube series sees celebrities test their mettle against some of the spiciest hot sauces in the world, with Capaldi calling one it the "devil's ejaculate".

Joking that he felt like he was on a "date" starting at the least spicy level, Capaldi said that whilst his latest music video for Wish You The Best has made people cry, he isn't totally bothered by it, saying: "I've always wanted to go viral on TikTok. I never thought I would get there by traumatising children.

"But if that's paying the bills then so be it."

Addressing the rumours started by One Direction's Niall Horan who said he talks "too fast on purpose" as part of his Scottish traits, Capaldi responded: "I can confirm that sometimes," as he joked about English and American people not being to understand him.

He was then asked: "Do you ever go to Celtic FC chant, you know something I can have in my back pocket should I ever find myself in Parkhead.

"There's a really beautiful song called Grace," the singer said.

"It's an old Irish song but Celtic fans sing it because of their connection with Ireland. It's a beautiful tune," as he sang the lyrics of the first two lines before breaking off: "My eyes! It's like I've got a pair of sunglasses on that have been...in an oven."

Many chicken wings - and tears - later, the pair felt "high" as they nibbled on their last wing loaded with the hottest sauce - all while Lewis couldn't stop sweating.

But despite the hot sauce pain, Lewis was praised for opening up about imposter syndrome.

With his usual comedic slant, Lewis ended: "Hell is awaiting us all," before telling people to buy his album to help him "pay his mortgage."

In response to the video, people wouldn't stop showing their love for the singer with people demanding more from Lewis. The Hot Ones interview comes following a recent appearance on another famous YouTube series - Chicken Shop date, hosted by Amelia Dimoldenberg.

In the comments one wrote: "1000/10, I wish every guest was as sarcastic, goofy, honest, and wholesome as Lewis!!"

Another said: "I LOVE Lewis Capaldi. He is the whole package: amazing, hilarious, talented, irreverent, brave, burpy, sweaty, and soulful!"

"As someone who has tourettes, it is SO INSPIRING seeing Lewis accomplish all that he has, and doing these interviews, despite his tics." a third wrote.

And a fourth noticed: "I've never seen Sean laugh this much with a guest. Lewis is a genuinely funny and real dude!"
