Lewis Capaldi has admitted he axed a track written by a One Direction star from his new album because it was "s**t".
The Scottish singer, 26, didn't hold back when revealing which tracks he scrapped from his second album Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent.
He revealed he hit the studio with close friend One Direction's Niall Horan in the hopes of recording a hit together.
Yet it wasn't to be as Lewis admitted the song was below the standard he wanted.
If that wasn't enough for Niall to take, he also confessed he'd rather record with former bandmate Harry Styles.
Talking about who he is keen to get into the studio with, Lewis said: “I would love to do a collaboration with Paolo Nutini. He is my dream.
"He is an elusive man. He will just disappear for seven years. So trying to get him and pin him down . . . he is slippery."
He added: “He has greased himself up and I chase him around the bedroom but he keeps getting away.
“If he is up for it, I would do it tomorrow.
“Niall would be one of course. We wrote a song and it was not good. Yeah, it was f***ing s**t. He wrote most of it.”
In a further blow, Lewis confessed: “Obviously Harry Styles — I am a big fan. He is really like a successful singer. Probably the biggest in the world at the moment and he is f***king super-sexy.”
Niall recently made a dig at Lewis over a claim he made in his critically acclaimed Netflix documentary.
The Someone You Loved hitmaker released a feature-length documentary on Netflix entitled 'How I'm Feeling Now' which explored his mental health and journey to discovering he has Tourette's syndrome.
Niall called Lewis a "liar" as he poked fun at one of the confessions made during the project.
Speaking on Scott Mills’ Radio 2 show, the Slow Hands hit-maker opened up about Lewis' habits as he and radio host Scott found themselves in a conversation about laundry.
When quizzed on whether or not Lewis actually washes his own clothes - like he says in the documentary - Niall denied the claim and called Lewis a 'liar', insisting that he most certainly does not do his own laundry.
“He doesn’t do his own laundry. I spoke to his mother the other night. He’s a liar," the former One Direction star joked.
“He might have done it for the cameras. I swear to God, Carol [Lewis' mother] , I said to his mother the other day: ‘Does Lewis come into the house often or are you often at his flat in Glasgow?’ She says, ‘Yes, if he hands me the laundry.’”
