Ange Postecoglou could be set to add another forward to his frontline options after having AEK forward Levi Garcia watched at the weekend, according to reports.
Celtic sent a scout to Athens to watch the Trinidad and Tobago international during AEK's 3-1 win over city rivals Olympiakos on Sunday, the Scottish Sun reports. The 25-year-old netted from the penalty spot to keep the pressure on Panathinaikos at the top of the league. While he also scored in AEK's 4-0 victory over PAOK last night to take his goal tally to 19 so far for the season. The left-sided striker has also got six assists so far this season with two years left on his contract in the Greek capital.
Garcia signed from Beitar Jerusalem in 2020 and could be seen a replacement for Israeli forward Liel Abada who has reportedly turned down a new contract at Celtic Park. A number of clubs across Europe, including in the English Premier League, are keeping tabs and are keen to land the 21-year-old's signature in the summer transfer window.
