The political crisis in Pakistan appears to prove the adage, history repeats itself. And this time, the beleaguered Pakistan Prime Minister, Imran Khan, is himself the main architect behind plunging Pakistan into its newest political problem. The economy of Pakistan is in a critical situation and political instability will only aggravate the impoverishment of the country; the Pakistani rupee has also lost much of its value in five years. On the contrary, the farcical aspect of this development implies that no Prime Minister of Pakistan has been able to complete his full tenure of five years in office ever since the formation of the country.

The ₹10 coin is valid
Three days ago, I had been to Bengaluru on work. I visited a photocopying shop and handed over a ₹10 coin to the owner for the copies made. To my surprise, he flatly refused to accept the coin, adding that it is not recognised in any shop in Bengaluru and even government-run buses. This is unacceptable. This is a legal tender and the Reserve Bank of India needs to issue a notification to these States and warn those who do not accept this legal tender that they should be ready to face the music. The Government of India and RBI need to issue a notice in all the dailies.
