Newcastle United's Kieran Trippier has been named at right-back for England's World Cup opener against Iran this afternoon.
With Kyle Walker missing the group B opener, Trippier has been given the nod over Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The Newcastle full-back had been the form defender heading into the tournament, and has seen his strong performances of late rewarded by England boss Gareth Southgate.
