Roy Keane and Gary Neville were embroiled in a heated debate over Cristiano Ronaldo’s behaviour after Manchester United’s draw with Chelsea on Saturday evening.
Casemiro’s dramatic equaliser and Raphael Varane’s injury were major talking points from the game but the pair got most passionate when talking about the dropped Ronaldo, who exited the Tottenham game early after refusing to come on as a late substitute on Wednesday.
The striker took to Instagram on Thursday to underline his commitment to the team, saying “the heat of the moment” got to him. He has trained on his own since being dropped but could be recalled by Erik ten Hag next week.
