If John Lewis needs to raise capital without departing too far from its staff partnership model (How to solve a problem like John Lewis? Retail experts give their views, 24 March), why doesn’t it follow the Co-op’s example and invite customers to join the business? • I wonder how many quinoa-eating Guardian readers agree that salad is rabbit food (11 across, Quick crossword, 25 March).
