Leona Maguire fell agonisingly short to her second LPGA Tout win as she lost out in a playoff at the Meijer LPGA Classic.
Maguire was well out of contention going into the final day but produced a stunning final day to launch herself right into contention.
The Cavan woman birdied four of his first six holes with the only blemish a bogey on three.
And a flawless four under par back nine meant Maguire finished -18 and in a tie for first alongside Jennifer Kupcho and Nelly Korda.
The three would play in a playoff and Maguire looked doomed as Kupcho stuck her approach to about two feet for a tap in eagle.
Both Korda and Maguire missed their eagle chances and remarkable Kupcho missed from close range.
Korda could not sink her putt and was eliminated as Maguire progressed.
The Solheim Cup winner would stick her approach shot on the second close but not convert and neither could Kupcho but Maguire missed her close range putt to hand the American victory.
