Leona Maguire has been installed as bookmaker favourite for the upcoming KPMG Irish Open.
The Cavan woman is the biggest name in the field and home town hero as she takes part at the event in Dromoland Castle in Co Clare.
And Maguire leads the way with bookmakers and is priced at 10/3 with Paddy Power.
A spokesperson for the bookmaker said: “It’s been a great couple of weeks for Irish golf with both Rory and Shane landing big wins. Leona’s been in the form of her life this year and a win on home turf would be huge hat-trick.”
Linn Grant is also in contention at 7/2 while Irish amateur and Clare native Aideen Walsh is 500/1 to win the event.
And Maguire was all smiles as s he was pictured with Davy Fitzgerald at the event.
Sharing the snap on social media, Maguire said: "the local legend Davy Fitz himself @dromolandcastle A few words of wisdom ahead of this weeks @WomensIrishOpen"
