Leona Maguire shot a stunning round of 5-under par to finish in a tie for fourth place at the AIG Women's Open.
Maguire started the day down the leadeaderboard having been two under par at the beginning of play. However, the Irish star played some mesmerising stuff at Muirfield this afternoon, and at one point held the clubhouse lead of 7-under par after her brilliant final round.
Unfortunately, it wasn't quite enough for Maguire to get the win this week. She just gave herself too much to do, having started the day 12 strokes behind Ashleigh Buhai, who held a five stroke lead at the beginning of Sunday's play.

Maguire started her day with three consecutive pars to get off to a solid start. She then went birdie-eagle to find herself 3-under par for the day having played five holes.
The 27-year old made another couple of birdies over the rest of her round to finish the day at 5-under par. The LPGA Tour winner carded the best score of the day by far to this point, and holds the clubhouse lead at 7-under par.
A fourth placed finish for the Cavan native is the highest major finish of her career so far. Her previous best finish at a major was tied sixth placed finish at The Evian Championship in 2021.
The championship ended in thrilling fashion with Ashleigh Buhai taking home the historic trophy. The South African survived a final day fight-back from In Gee Chun to clinch victory on the fourth play-off hole with the sun setting in Muirfield.
