Leona Lewis is looking to expand her budding US coffee empire on these shores.
The Hackney-born former X Factor winner, 38, now lives in LA and has largely turned her back on fame, instead focusing on running two coffee shops with her husband in the US.
But, a London girl at heart, she has now revealed her hopes to open up shop in the capital.
Speaking to the Standard, Lewis said: “I opened LA’s first ever plant-based coffee shop, Coffee and Plants. We have two locations now and it’s going really really well.
“We’re totally animal and environmentally friendly and also delicious and pretty, so it’s everything I dreamed of.
“I cannot wait to expand into the UK and definitely have my eye on London. I do a lot of charity work in the animal rescue sector and wanted to bring that into my businesses also and help people make kinder choices without having to make concessions on taste, design, or enjoyment.”
Lewis is currently back in the UK, having recently completed a tour to mark the tenth anniversary of her Christmas album, Christmas, With Love, which includes the track One More Sleep that has become a festive playlist must-have.
In addition to playing One More Sleep on repeat, fans will get an extra special dose of Lewis in their stockings this year as she has been confirmed to be a guest on the panel of The Masked Singer UK Christmas special, which airs on Christmas Day.
Speaking about the experience, she said: “I have always loved The Masked Singer, my mum told me about the show first as she was religiously watching it when it started. The concept is just so fun to me.
“Being part of their Christmas Special was such a joy and a real highlight of the year for me. I love the panel so it was a good time. We all had a real laugh! I also got to perform One More Sleep on the show, we made it so big and fun!
“I was so worried I wouldn’t be good at guessing [who was behind the mask] but actually I surprised myself.”The Masked Singer: Christmas Special airs on Monday 25th December at 7.30pm on ITV1, ITVX and STV
