Sir Lenny Henry showcased his dramatic three stone weight loss at the National Television Awards and has now shared the secrets behind his slimmed-down frame.
The 64-year-old comedian first began to shed the pounds in 2014 in a bid to combat the effects of diabetes, after his late mum Winifred lost both her legs to the disease.
Lenny revealed he was also "a little bit diabetic" and so had to cut back on certain foods and alcohol.
The comedian attended the awards ceremony on Thursday night where he received the Special Recognition Award and fans quickly took to Twitter to comment on his weight loss.
One person wrote: "Lenny Henry has lost a lot of weight and he is looking good."
Another said: "Lenny Henry looks really good," while a third tweeted: "Lenny Henry is looking HOT!"
Lenny, who plays Sadoc in the new Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power, said his weight loss is all thanks to his healthy diet.
"I try to work and go to the gym and eat healthy and do what everyone else does but when I’m working and writing I get so consumed by it so I do try," the actor told The Sun.
Lenny previously told The Mirror that he ate broccoli "and not much else" to achieve his incredible results. He also ate sugar-free food and started Ashtanga yoga.
"I’ve also been running a lot. It has worked," he added.
Lenny's mum suffered from diabetes, which can cause artery problems, for seven years and had a double leg amputation before she died in 1998.
In 2011 Lenny lost three stone when he was put through boot camp while appearing in the play Comedy of Errors. But in 2012, he put weight back on.
Lenny shocked viewers of the National Television Awards on Thursday night as he made an apparent reference to the Queue furore surrounding Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield after false allegations they skipped the queue to see the Queen lying-in-state.
T he duo were compared to celebrities including David Beckham, who queued for hours to see the late monarch.
Referring to the former footballer, Sir Lenny said: "This show is so long that David Beckham is still queueing outside."
