Leinster are sweating on the availability of scrum-half Jamison Gibson-Park for Friday's Champions Cup showdown with Connacht at the Aviva Stadium.
Gibson-Park came off the bench for Luke McGrath in the second half of the round of 16 first leg between the provinces at the Showgrounds last Friday night.
The Ireland international was sin-binned for a high challenge on Kieran Marmion in the 56th minute.
Afterwards Connacht head coach Andy Friend felt that a yellow card was punishment enough for the tackle, however tournament organisers EPCR have received a complaint by citing commissioner Maurizio Vancini against Gibson-Park.
He is alleged to have tackled Marmion in a dangerous manner in contravention of Law 9.13.
Philippe Cavalieros (France), chair, Yannick Jauzion (France) and Mitchell Read (England) have been appointed as the independent disciplinary committee for the hearing which will take place by video conference this evening.
EPCR Law 9.13: A player must not tackle an opponent dangerously. Under World Rugby’s Sanctions for Foul Play, Law 9.13 relating to dangerous tackling carries the following sanction entry points - Low End: 2 weeks; Mid-range: 6 weeks; Top end: 10 to 52 weeks.
