Nottingham’s Leigh Wood will now defend his WBA featherweight title defence against Mauricio Lara on Saturday, February 18, at the Motorpoint Arena.

Gedling-born Wood was set to headline the card at the Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham on September 24 but the 34-year-old had to postpone the bout after picking up an injury in training.

Now the date has been arranged and the two will see to business in Wood’s second defence, following on from his knockout win over Michael Conlan last March.
