Leigh Wood paid tribute to Michael Conlan after their epic bout was named Fight of the Year 2022.
Conlan was sensationally knocked out by Wood in the final round of their WBA World featherweight title fight in Nottingham last March.
It was a colossal bout that witnessed both men hitting the canvas before Wood delivered a brutal finish in the 12th round, knocking the Belfast challenger unconscious through the ropes.

Their fight was named Contest of the Year at Sunday's British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) awards night.
Wood tweeted: "2022 Fight of the year! Shout-out to Mick for playing his part in a fight that will be talked about for some time."
The BBBofC added: "Congratulations to @itsLeighWood and @mickconlan11 for winning the BBBofC Contest of the Year Award 2022."
Wood has since lost his world title, but there is still significant interest in a rematch between the former champion and Conlan.
Conlan Boxing promoter Jamie Conlan recently admitted a second fight remained a "big attraction".
He said: "I think the Wood rematch is there no matter what. The first fight was incredible and fans would love to see more of the same.
"It is still a big fight. It remains a big attraction in the division.
"Previously Wood wouldn't fight Michael if Michael didn't have a world title. So I don't know what his thoughts are on that now."
