Nottingham Forest fan Leigh Wood regained the WBA featherweight title on Saturday night and wants one of the final fights of his career to be at the City Ground.
The 34-year-old put on an impressive display in Manchester to gain revenge over Mexico's Mauricio Lara by a unanimous points decision.
Lara had won the previous fight between the pair at Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena but was stripped of the belt after failing to make championship weight.

He added: "I probably have two fights left, City Ground one, unification another. I want my happy ending.
"I didn't expect that many fans to be there from Nottingham, especially Forest fans. I was half thinking of not having Mull of Kintyre playing. I could hear them. They picked me up, especially on the stretch round 12. A massive thank you to the travelling fans. It's our victory to share."
