Leicester City vs Fulham LIVE: Premier League result, final score and reaction

Follow live coverage as Leicester City face Fulham today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Leicester City FC 0 - 2 Fulham FC

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:58

It ends 2-0 for Fulham, as they win for the first time this calendar year. Goals from Smith Rowe and Traore do the trick as they get the better of Leicester. There were certainly chances for the Foxes, but they were unable to convert them as they had more shots on target than their opponents did, despite having half as many attempts. Still, the Cottagers were ruthless, as the two goals scored were their only shots on target in the match. Take nothing away from the visitors though, as they do deserve the three points won on the road. The final xG reads 2.08 to 0.47 in Fulham's favour. Thank you to one and all for tuning into this live text commentary between Leicester and Fulham, which once again ends 2-0 in the visitors' favour. All the very best, and until next time.

FULL-TIME: LEICESTER 0-2 FULHAM

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:56

Cairney's attempt flies over the bar, leaving Stolarczyk untroubled.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:56

Faes goes into the referee's book as he takes down Cairney as the Fulham substitute tries to get a shot off. It is a free-kick for Fulham in what is likely the last action of the game.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:54

Leicester are still unable to get off a good shot on the goal, as Buonanotte trips while in possession on the ball.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:53

Also part of the double change sees Diop come on for Lukic as Fulham look to close the game out.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:52

The last of the substitutions take place, as King comes in for Wilson.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:51

A sloppy tackle from McAteer sees him go into the referee's book.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:51

Leicester go back the other way, with Buonanotte playing in Vardy, who was offside. Still, the play continues, as the skipper has a go, but Leno is equal to the attmempt. It does not matter in the end, as the referee blows his whistle for offside.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:48

Lukic delivers beautiful cross to Muniz, who tries to beat Stolarczyk on a tight angle. Unfortunately for the Brazilian, he could not get his effort on target.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:45

Soumare tries an audacious cross with the outside of his foot, which required a header from Bassey. The second shot was blocked, with the Cottagers able to clear.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:45

Leicester's latest free-kick leads to nothing as Fulham were able to clear without issue. Less than 10 minutes left in normal time, and there is no sign that the Foxes will be able to turn this around.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:39

Substitution Emile Smith Rowe Thomas Cairney

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:38

Leicester have not created many chances since conceding the second goal. Fulham look more likely to add a third at this stage. There is still time to turn things around, but it does not look favourable for the Foxes.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:36

It is more good work from Fulham, as Traore is unselfish in playing a ball into the box. This time, it is cleared before another shot could be taken. Things are not looking promising at all for Leicester.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:33

Daka is the other player to come on, as he replaces Mavididi in the Leicester attack.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:33

Leicester make a second double change, as Buononotte is on, coming on in Ayew's stead.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:33

Jimenez's day is done as he is taken off and replaced by Muniz.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:27

Assist Harry Wilson

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:27

It was certainly an interesting response from the home crowd, as the boos in the substitution was quite loud. They felt that El Khannouss was looking lively in this second half, and to their credit, they are not wrong. Definitely a surprising substitution nonetheless.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:25

Substitution Harry Billy Winks Kasey Ian McAteer

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:24

Substitution Harry Billy Winks Oliver William Skipp

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:22

A great chance there from Ayew after Vardy finds him with the pass. The Ghanaian cannot find the target though, as he blasts his attempt over the bar.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:21

There is definitely some more attackig intent from Leicester since going down. This was what was missing in the first half, as while they did create several good chances, they were not coming with any regularity. There is still half an hour to play, and the Foxes are not out of this yet.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:17

That is better from Leicester, as Winks has a bit of space and has a shot on target. Leno spills the first attempt at gathering, but the German makes up for it by grabbing the ball before Vardy could get to it.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:16

Leicester go back on the attack again. This time, it is Mavididi, who despite taking the ball wide, has a go. Leno is there and pushes it aside for a Leicester corner.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:13

Yellow Card Saša Lukić

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:13

Jimenez has an uncontested header from the corner, but the Mexican drags his attempt just wide of the mark. Poor defending from Leicester to allow a free header for the striker.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:13

Robinson marauds forward and puts in a great ball into the box. Kristiansen heads it out for a Fulham corner before Jimenez could nod it home.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:12

Leicester go on the attack, trying to get an immediate response. In the end, no shot came off, but it showed some more serious attacking intent from the Foxes.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:11

While Lukic was likely trying to head in Wilson's cross himself, it all works out as the Serbian found his teammate with a good header.

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:08

Goal Emile Smith Rowe

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:05

The second half is under way between Leicester and Fulham. Who can break the deadlock first?

Leicester City vs Fulham

16:04

Substitution Alexander Chuka Iwobi Adama Traoré Diarra

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:52

Fulham simply need to create some more meaningful chances as they have had much of the ball and much of the opportunities. But, Stolarczyk has been largely untroubled throughout the opening 45 minutes. As for Leicester, they have been on the back foot for most of the opening half after a great 10 minutes to commence the match. They will want to get into the game a bit more, as several of their attacking players have barely had their name get called.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:51

We have reached the half at the King Power Stadium, where Leicester and Fulham have yet to find an opener. The best chances have come the way of the hosts, despite the guests having more of the ball and more attempts on goal. Ayew and Kristiensen created the best opportunities of the game, but just could not beat Leno in the Fulham goal. As such, we are goalless at the break.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:50

HALF-TIME: LEICESTER 0-0 FULHAM

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:45

Yellow Card Jannik Vestergaard

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:43

Ayew almsot plays in Vardy in what would have been a one-on-one. The former shows brilliant vision, but puts just a bit too much on the pass. Leno is able to come out and gather as Vardy is held off.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:41

Justin gets a cross into Vardy, but the Leicester skipper's header is easily gathered by Leno. There was too much for Vardy to do in order to get a good header on the cross.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:40

Fulham are really clicking now. After breaking up a Leicester pass in the midfield, the Cottagers launch a counter, which ended with Robinson getting a go on goal. It hits the side netting, giving Stolarczyk reason to be a bit worried. Leicester are on the back foot now.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:38

Some great patience from the visitors as they play some nice one-touch football to ultimately tee up Bassey. The Nigerian has a go, but pulls his shot just wide of the mark.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:37

Iwobi is causing danger again on the left wing, as he creates space for himself to have a cross. Once again, he cannot find anyone, with the ball hitting the bar, and goes out.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:35

Robinson briefly stayed on the ground following a challenge with Justin. Thankfully, the Fulham full-back is back up and play continues.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:33

Leicester have had the two best chances in the match, but it has been Fulham who have had more of the ball. Perhaps Ayew and Kristiensen's two chances have been an equalizer for the Foxes here, as, unlike Fulham, they have shown they can be dangerous.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:31

Kristiensen creates a great chance to put Leicester in front. The full-back marauds forward, beating several white shirts in the process. His shot misses the target. He likely would have scored if he did get his attempt on target. Fulham escape for now.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:29

Fulham seem to have come alive over the last few minutes, although they have not tested Stolarczyk in the Leicester goal. All that is needed from them now is some more serious attempts on goal, and perhaps that could be key to breaking down the team.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:26

Iwobi tries to play in Robinson with a defence-splitting through ball. Unfortunately, the former overcooks his pass, with the ball going out for a goal-kick for Leicester.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:24

Iwobi makes a smart run down the left-hand side, beating his man without issue. His attempted cross, however, was poor, going straight to Stolarczyk.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:23

Smith Rowe creates a half-chance for himself, but he curls his effort well wide of the mark, with Stolarczyk untroubled.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:22

The game has come to a lull over the last few minutes as neither side have created a real chance in a while. Perhaps that was what Fulham needed to get into the game a bit more.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:20

A stray pass from Wilson turns the ball over and now Leiecester get a throw-in as they try to create some more chances as they did in the opening 10 minutes.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:18

Andersen attempts a long ball to launch an attack, but he overhits it, with the ball going out for a Leicester throw-in from in their half.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:15

El Khannouss has gone down after a collision in the middle of the park. The attacking midfielder was down for a bit, but has gotten up and is able to continue.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:13

Fulham go on the attack, with Wilson going for goal just inside of the box. However, his shot is blocked, and is easily gathered by Stolarczyk.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:12

The opening 10 minutes have largely gone Leicester's way, as they have had much of the ball, and even a few chances as well. Whether they can keep that up is another matter.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:11

Vardy nearly causes a disastrous error from the Fulham defence. The Leicester captain swings it into his teammate, but between Castagne and Leno, they bundle the ball over. The latter had to push it out for a corner.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:07

Fulham go forward for the first time in the match, as Robinson gets a cross in that Wilson heads on for Jimenez. However, the Mexican striker is offside, as the referee blows the play dead.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:06

Ayew has another shot, but this time, he fails to test Leno as he blasts his attempt over the bar.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:04

Leicester get the first big chance of the match inside two minutes, as Ayew gets a shot off via a corner. But, Leno comes out and thwarts the Ghanaian. It was a great chance for the Foxes to go in front.

Leicester City vs Fulham

15:02

And off we go at the King Power Stadium? Can Leicester end their six-game losing skid, or can Fulham continue their chase to European football? Find out here over the next couple of hours.

Leicester City vs Fulham

14:56

The reverse fixture back in August finished 2-1 in Fulham's favour, with Iwobi getting the go-ahead goal with 20 minutes left to play. In fact, it is the West London side who have dominated the head-to-head at recent times, winning four of the last five. Leicester did grab a 2-0 win at Craven Cottage in the 2020/21 season, but have lost the last three meetings between the two. At home, the Foxes last prevailed in 2019 with a 3-1 success.

Leicester City vs Fulham

14:51

It seems like neither side wants to make wholesale changes to their XI, as Marco Silva deploys 10 of the 11 who started on Wednesday. The sole exception comes in the midefield, where Berge comes in for Pereira. The Norwegian returns after being out for the last few weeks due to an ankle injury. Perhaps his comeback could be the difference-maker for Fulham as they look to get back to winning ways.

Leicester City vs Fulham

14:46

Despite the heavy fixture list, as well as their not-so-great league position, Leicester coach Ruud Van Nistelrooy makes just one change to his starting XI from the midweek defeat. That comes in the attack, where Ayew replaces Buonanotte. There is still much faith in the regular starters, and they will have to show it in this clash. It is a rather interesting decision to drop the Italian, as he was Leicester's best player in their last match. Time will tell whether that pays off.

Leicester City vs Fulham

14:36

Leicester come into this fixtue off the back of six straight Premier League defeats and seven without a win. Sitting second bottom in the league, the Foxes have their work cut out for them. Only last place Southampton have less league wins their season than their three. As such, they could really use a result in this clash. They fell 2-0 in midweek to fellow strugglers Crystal Palace, adding extra stress to the campaign thus far. Fulham, on the other hand, have had less issues, as the Cottagers sit in midtable. They have suffered a drop in form though, having failed to win any of their last three league outings, including a 3-2 reverse at West Ham on Tuesday. They are still in the thick of the race for European football next term, but a return to winning ways at the King Power will go a long way in restarting their charge for returning to European football for the first time since 2011/12.
