Leicester City injury and suspension news as Foxes suffer big setback before Leeds United clash

Leeds United will travel down to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City tomorrow night but the Foxes will be carrying injuries on numerous key players as well as a big suspension.

The Whites come into the game on a six-game winless run but Leicester are bottom-of-the-league and have only taken five points this season.

Here are all the injuries and suspensions Leicester are carrying right now and how quickly they can return for manager Brendan Rodgers...

James Maddison - Suspended

After picking up his fifth yellow card of the season, Leeds will receive a big boost to their chances of winning as Maddison misses this game. Incredibly, every booking Maddison has picked up has been past the 83rd minute.

Rodgers said (Oct 17): “He's clearly an outstanding talent. Our team is based around the collective. We’ll play the best team to win the game. It opens the door for somebody else and bring their qualities.

"James would be a miss from any team and he is bitterly disappointed."

Return date: Sunday, October 23

Jonny Evans - Calf

Evans is struggling with a tight calf that he suffered before the Foxes' game against Crystal Palace and after missing the 0-0 draw at the weekend, he'll also miss out in this one.

Rodgers said (Oct 17): “Jonny won’t make the game. We’ll see how he is for the weekend [against Wolves]."

Potential return date: Unknown

Caglar Soyuncu - Knee

Soyuncu has had a knee problem since he's returned from international duty with Turkey but hasn't played a Premier League game all season.

Rodgers said (Oct. 17): "Cags, he’s got an issue with his knee. We have to assess that. He’s had it since he came back from international duty. He has had a scan done on that, so we have to wait for the result.

"He hasn’t been quite where he wants to be in terms of his fitness, and we think he’ll miss the game as well. The others have come through okay."

Potential return date: Unknown

Wilfred Ndidi - Hamstring

Having withdrawn from international duty with Nigeria in September, Ndidi was substituted at half time against Nottingham Forest and hasn't featured since.

Rodgers said (Oct. 13): "He’ll probably be a few weeks. When he came off, we were looking at about three weeks. We think it’ll be around that period of time from last week."

Potential return date: Unknown

Ricardo Pereira - Achilles

Back in August, Leicester right-back Ricardo Pereira suffered an Achilles rupture and hasn't appeared for the Foxes all season.

Rodgers said (Aug. 5): "Sadly, Ricardo Pereira will be out for up to six months. He had his operation last night, and he’ll recover now, get strong again and come back better, I’m sure. He ruptured his Achilles."

Potential return date: February 2023 at the earliest.

Ryan Bertrand - Knee

Ryan Bertrand suffered a knee injury before the start of the season and hasn't played for the Foxes yet this campaign.

Rodgers said (Aug. 25): "There’s no timeline at the moment. He’s awaiting an operation."

Potential return date: Unknown

Predicted XI (4-1-4-1): Ward; Castagne, Faes, Amartey, Justin; Soumare; Albrighton, Tielemans, Dewsbury-Hall, Barnes; Daka
