Jesse Marsch is set to be named as the new manager of Leicester City after the sacking of Brendan Rodgers, according to reports.
Rodgers was dismissed less than 24 hours after last weekend's last-gasp 2-1 defeat at Crystal Palace, which left the Foxes in the Premier League relegation places just two years after they narrowly missed out on Champions League qualification.
Following the end of the Northern Irishman's tenure, caretaker bosses Adam Sadler and Mike Stowell have overseen defeats to Aston Villa, on Wednesday, and Bournemouth, this afternoon. Victory in either would have taken Leicester out of the bottom three and above Everton.

It means with eight games of the season remaining, the Foxes are two points adrift of the 17th-placed Blues, who lost 2-0 at Manchester United earlier today.
Tonight, multiple sources, including The Athletic and The Mirror, are reporting that Marsch is set for a dramatic return to the Premier League and has "agreed" a three-year deal at the King Power Stadium.
The American was sacked by Leeds United in January after their promising early-season form tailed off and saw them plummet toward the danger zone.
Marsch was appointed as Marcelo Bielsa's successor last season and was successful in guiding the 2020 Championship winners to safety after a dramatic victory at Brentford on the final day of the 2021/22 campaign.
Speaking after Saturday's defeat to fellow strugglers Bournemouth, Sadler refused to be drawn on the possible appointment of Marsch - insisting any decision was in the hands of club officials.
“I am not going to speculate on a new manager," said Sadler. "What the club decide is their prerogative.”
Saturday night's developments in the Midlands will certainly have those at Goodison Park watching on, with Everton, too, embroiled in the scrap for Premier League survival. The Blues are set to travel to the King Power on Monday, May 1.
