LEGENDARY Scottish rock band The Waterboys have announced a brand new album ahead of their UK and Ireland tour this summer.
The album, which has been described as their "most audacious" yet, is titled Life, Death And Dennis Hopper and tells the "epic" story of the "trailblazing" American actor.
According to the band, the assortment of songs will not only tell the life story of the Rebel Without a Cause star but will also detail the last 75 years of Western pop culture.
Band leader Mike Scott says the "arc of his life was the story of our times" and was one of the catalysts that spurred the counter-culture movement.
While the album is scheduled to be released on April 4, those looking to get a taster will be able to listen to Hopper's On Top (Genius) on Friday, January 10 when it will be available to stream.
