Roman Abramovich's decision to hand over "care" of Chelsea to their charitable foundation simply gives them "caretaker" ownership of the Blues, according to a legal expert.
The Russian billionaire produced the shock statement as he stepped back from the west London club he has owned since 2003.
His nationality and ties with leading lights in his homeland has seen Abramovich thrust in to the spotlight as Russia wages an invasion on Ukraine.
