NAGPUR: Left-arm spinner Gaurav Farde once again provided Vidarbha a match-defining breakthrough at the stroke of lunch on Day 4 which brought them back in the match. Courtesy that, Vidarbha beat Andhra by 77 runs in Cooch Behar Trophy match on Tuesday.
Chasing 265 for win, Andhra were reduced to 98 for 6. Vidarbha had the match in their control but the balance shifted gradually. Andhra stumper No.8 Mkdatta (57 off 32b) arrived and attacked Vidarbha bowlers left, right and centre. He combined with No.3 M Abhinav (54) to add 69 runs, of which 57 were scored by Mkdatta, for the 7th wicket.
