Leeds is set to see some sunny spells on Monday - but the heatwave is long gone..

However, some respite is expected on Monday where maximum temperatures should hover around 20C. This is much lower than the 27C seen last week - and rain is set to follow on Tuesday and Wednesday.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: "A fresher-feeling day. Sunny at first but some scattered showers spreading eastwards later, some of these still potentially thundery in places though fewer and less organised than on Sunday. Maximum temperature 23 °C.
"More changeable than of late, with temperatures consequently nearer normal. Cloudy with some rain Tuesday, probably brightening up through Wednesday ahead of a more showery Thursday. Breezy at times."
