Leeds vs Liverpool: Prediction, kick-off time, TV, live stream, team news, h2h results, odds

Tough test: Leeds host Liverpool after beating Chelsea - (ES Composite)

Liverpool travel to Leeds this weekend needing a win in the Premier League.

Arne Slot’s side thought they were back on course after their 2-0 victory at West Ham last weekend, but a dire performance and a 1-1 draw with Sunderland at Anfield on Wednesday showed that there are still issues to sort out.

Former Reds defender Jamie Carragher accused his old side of “sleepwalking” during the match, calling the result “really worrying” as the defending champions lost further ground on the top four.

They sit ninth in the table going into the weekend, and have won just four games in their last 14.

Leeds, meanwhile, are riding the crest of a wave after a stunning win over Chelsea in midweek.

Daniel Farke’s side had been four matches without tasting victory before then, but they played out of their skins to defeat the world champions 3-1 at Elland Road.

They will be confident coming up against a Liverpool side that blows hot and cold, eyeing three points that would haul them further clear of the relegation zone.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Leeds vs Liverpool is scheduled for a 5.30pm GMT kick-off on Saturday December 6, 2025.

The match will take place at Elland Road.

Where to watch Leeds vs Liverpool

TV channel: In the UK, the game will be televised live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League. Coverage starts at 5pm.

Live stream: Sky Sports subscribers can also catch the contest live online via the Sky Go app.

Leeds vs Liverpool team news

Farke will miss Daniel James and Sean Longstaff for this game, with both sidelined until the New Year.

James, the former Manchester United winger, is out with a hamstring injury, while Longstaff, a summer recruit from Newcastle, is recovering from a calf niggle. Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha are also doubts.

As for Liverpool, Slot has confirmed that Conor Bradley is back fit so that he can name a natural right-back.

Joe Gomez filled in against West Ham and Sunderland, but was replaced by Curtis Jones in midweek and has been carrying a knock.

Dominik Szoboszlai has also deputised in that position, with Jeremie Frimpong sidelined with another hamstring problem.

The big talking point is whether Mohamed Salah will start after being named on the bench once more against Sunderland and come on at half-time, having not featured at all in the win over West Ham.

Giovanni Leoni is a long-term absentee after knee surgery.

Leeds vs Liverpool prediction

Leeds really upset the apple cart with their stunning win over Chelsea, and that will alarm some Liverpool supporters.

The Reds need a performance like the one they put in in east London - not at Anfield - in order to take three points here, but they know that they will be in for a high-octane affair.

Liverpool to win, 2-1.
