Leeds United vs Chelsea score predicted by simulation ahead of Premier League clash

Chelsea will be looking to get back to winning ways this weekend, as they face Leeds United in the Premier League.

An entertaining but controversial game between Chelsea and Spurs ended 2-2 in the Blues' last outing, with a 96th-minute equaliser from Harry Kane taking two points away from Chelsea. Both Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte were sent off in the match.

Referee Anthony Taylor came under fire from Tuchel after the game, with a couple of decisions going against Chelsea. The Blues felt Kai Havertz was fouled in the build-up to Spurs' first goal, whilst Cristian Romero could've, and should've, seen red for pulling Marc Cucurella's hair.

Ahead of the game, Tuchel has confirmed that the Blues will be without N'Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Armando Broja, who are all injured. Loftus-Cheek could partner Jorginho in midfield, whilst Cucurella is expected to keep his spot at wing-back.

So, what could the final score be when Chelsea face Leeds? We simulated the game to try and predict the outcome.

Leeds vs Chelsea score prediction

To complete this simulation, we used FIFA 22 and updated the squads with the latest transfers. Due to FIFA 22 not having the latest kits, both sides lined up in the kits for the 2021/22 season.

We predict that Leeds could set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with their line-up as follows: Meslier; Kristensen, Llorente, Koch, Strujik; Adams, Roca; James, Aaronson, Harrison; Rodrigo.

We predict that Tuchel's side could set up in a 3-4-1-2 formation, with their line-up as follows: Mendy; Azpilicueta, Silva, Koulibaly; James, Loftus-Cheek, Jorginho, Cucurella; Mount; Havertz, Sterling.

The game started with both sides seeing a lot of the ball and creating chances, with the opening 20 minutes evenly matched. The first major chance of the game fell to Chelsea, and it got them the breakthrough they needed.

Cucurella did well down the left to find Mason Mount on the edge of the box, and with time, the Englishman picked out the run of Kai Havertz into the box. Under pressure, the German snapped at his shot, squeezing it past the 'keeper at his near post to take the lead.

It was a fantastic strike from Havertz, with the goal taking some pressure away from Chelsea. Leeds had a great chance to draw the score level right before halftime, but Rodrigo couldn't capitalise on the opportunity.

Rodrigo was through one-on-one with Edouard Mendy and looked likely to score. The Spaniard fired across goal, but the Senegal 'keeper made a brilliant save to send Chelsea into the break with the lead.

The second half continued to see both sides evenly matched, with Leeds starting to get a bit more desperate as they chased the game. Chelsea were able to benefit from their craving for an equaliser, and substitute Hakim Ziyech confirmed all three points in the 90th minute.

Chelsea hit Leeds on the break as the home side threw everything at the Blues' goal, with Ziyech leading the attack. With options on either side, the Moroccan opted to shoot from distance instead, and his effort flew into the net to make it 2-0.
