Leeds United U21s player ratings as Sonny Perkins stands out in comfortable victory over Derby

Harry Christy: Commanded his area well, dealt with everything that came his way and kept Derby at bay. 8

Kris Moore: Made a crucial clearance off the line in the first half and was probably the pick of the backline. Continued to dominate in the second half to keep derby striker Bartosz Cybulski quiet. 8

Diogo Monteiro: Played at right-back and looked very comfortable. Rarely troubled, a presence in the air and moved the ball forward at every opportunity. 8

Jeremiah Mullen: Steady away at the back for the Whites. Such a physical presence and he contributed to what was a fine defensive performance. 7

Connor Ferguson: He’s making that left-back spot his own and he looked more than at home once again versus the Rams. Looked to get forward when required and he was never caught short down his flank. 7

Darko Gyabi: Ran the game from start to finish and always seemed to manufacture space and time for himself on the ball. Frustrated Derby with strength and ability on the ball and picked up an assist late on after feeding Perkins. 9

Charlie Allen: Found some real joy down the right, got forward well, showed some neat footwork and had the beating of his man. 7

Sam Greenwood: Grabbed the first goal of the game with a well-timed run to the back post and once again he looked far too good to be playing at this level. Had a quieter second half after moving out to the right but still made things happen. 8

Mateo Joseph: A little bit clumsy with the ball at his feet at times. Never stopped running and his voice could be heard regularly. 7

Sonny Perkins: A superb first half saw him pick up two assists, laying on goals for Greenwood and Snowdon. He was a threat throughout and got his goal late on, latching onto Gyabi’s long ball over the top before rounding the keeper and prodding the ball home. 9

Joe Snowdon: Plenty of energy and impressed in the first half with his tenacity down the left. Won the ball in the build-up to the first goal and took his own with class and precision. 8

Archie Gray (Snowdon 46): Looked a little rusty at times, which is to be expected given this was his first outing since mid-September, but got on the ball as often as possible. 7

Charlie Crew (Allen 68): Made himself busy and found joy in build-up play. 7

James Debayo (Monteiro 86): Stepped off the bench late. N/A

Subs not used: Will Brook, Morten Spencer.
