Here are the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Wednesday, May 11.
Leeds targeting young Chelsea defender
Much of the summer transfer planning at Leeds will have been put on hold in the knowledge that it will be majorly affected by the division in which the club are playing next season. Although, preparations for both the Premier League and Championship will have continued as Victor Orta and co cannot afford to waste any time with the end of the campaign approaching.
There will be a handful of players who will be on Leeds’ radar regardless of which division they find themselves in. According to the Sun, Jake Clarke-Salter is attracting interest from those in charge at Elland Road as he could be available on a free transfer.
The Chelsea defender, who has been on loan at Coventry this term, is due to be out of contract this summer and, while the Blues have the option of triggering an extension, their current ownership problems mean they cannot activate new deals. That is likely to change in the next couple of weeks and months but Clarke-Salter may decide that he wants a new challenge.

Questions over whether Leeds meet Ajax defender’s ambitions
After Ezgjan Alioski left last summer, Leeds thought they had immediately plugged the gap left by the Macedonian’s departure by signing Junior Firpo from Barcelona. However, he has really struggled to make his mark and investment into another left-back might be on the agenda at the club.
Nicolas Tagliafico from Ajax was linked with Leeds last season, along with plenty of other sides. He ultimately stayed with the Dutch giants but he will move into the final year of his contract this summer.
That means the Argentina regular may be available for a cut price and Orta could consider revisiting the situation. Although, according to Soccer News in the Netherlands, his lofty ambitions are unlikely to be met by Leeds and Leicester, two of the teams who have been linked with him previously.
Leeds to make decision on young centre-back
On the subject of expiring contracts, Leeds have a couple of decisions to make in the next few weeks. The two Whites players whose deals are running out are Laurens De Bock – who will not be extended – and U23s regular Nohan Kenneh.
The 19-year-old is viewed as one of the more promising players in the development squad and he has featured on the bench in the Premier League on 13 occasions this season. He is yet to have made his league debut for Leeds but, as per The Athletic, he ‘could be offered new terms’ as the club have been weighing up a decision regarding an extension.
