Leeds United transfer rumours as Whites told to 'do everything' to sign Armando Broja

A round-up of the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Sunday, July 31.

Leeds United told to 'do everything' to sign Armando Broja

Jesse Marsch's side have been told to go all out to sign Chelsea forward Armando Broja this summer. The Whites are in the market for another striker and left-back before the transfer window closes and former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor believes Broja should be their main target.

He told Football Insider: “I think Broja is a top, top player but maybe his form in the second half of the season put a few suitors off. Clubs will want him, but he tailed off in the second half of the season.

“But if I was Newcastle or Leeds, clubs who need strikers, I’d be doing everything I could to get him in. He’s shown what he can do in the Premier League. He’s a threat, he’s big, he’s strong. The clubs will just have to hope that he can do it over a whole season, not just six months.”

Rennes make Leeds United target a top priority

Rennes have reportedly made Leeds United target Arnaud Kalimuendo a priority target this summer. That is according to L'Equipe, via Inside Futbol, who claim Rennes are willing to pay between €25 and €30 million for the PSG striker in order to win the race for his signature.

Despite impressing on their pre-season tour of Japan, Kalimuendo looks likely to leave PSG before the close of the window. Leeds have earmarked him as someone who could strengthen their forward line and may decide to accelerate their interest after losing out on Charles de Ketelaere to AC Milan.

But they will face strong competition for the 20-year-old with Rennes very keen on keeping him in France and Nice also thought to be interested. Kalimuendo is a very highly rated young striker; he was the top scorer of any player under the age of 20 in Europe’s top five leagues last season.
