Leeds United send scouts to watch RC Lens forward Lois Openda

Leeds United are among a number of clubs scouting RC Lens forward Lois Openda, according to French publication Footmercato.

Openda is also being monitored by Premier League rivals Leicester City, as well as Eintracht Frankfurt, Inter Milan, Marseille and AS Monaco.

However, the Belgian international is reportedly happy with his current employers, but could be persuaded to leave if the price is right.

The striker only joined Lens from Club Brugge on a five-year deal last summer, but Openda is reportedly valued at £26.5 million by the French side.

The 23-year-old has scored 15 goals in 31 appearances in the French top-flight, and also netted the fastest hat-trick in Ligue 1 history within four minutes and 30 seconds against Clermont Foot in March. Openda has been capped eight times by Belgium, and has scored two international goals.

Nottingham Forest to rivals Leeds United for Barcelona winger Abde Ezzalzouli

Nottingham Forest are set to enter the race to sign Leeds United target Abde Ezzalzouli, according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo [via Nottingham Forest News].

Reports claimed last week that Leeds were leading fellow Premier League side Aston Villa in their quest to sign the Moroccan international.

However, Forest are now reportedly firmly in the hunt for Ezzalzouli, who is currently on loan at La Liga outfit Osasuna this season.

Their chances of signing the 21-year-old is likely to depend on whether the Tricky Trees can survive relegation. Ezzalzouli starred for Morocco as they became the first African nation in history to reach the World Cup semi-finals in Qatar.

He played 12 times across all competitions for Barcelona last season, but joined Osasuna on a season-long loan in September. The winger has racked up five goals and two assists in 27 matches in all competitions for Osasuna this term.
