Victor Orta comes under criticism
Former Leeds defender Jon Newsome has taken aim at Victor Orta by describing a number of the club's signings under his watch as "baffling".

Leeds forked out a club record fee to prise Georginio Rutter away from Hoffenheim in January, only for the 20-year-old to be handed limited opportunities.
Elsewhere, Brenden Aaronson and Rasmus Kristensen have struggled during their debut seasons in the Premier League, while the Jean-Kevin Augustin debacle continues to rumble on.
Jesse Marsch paid the price for Leeds' dismal form when he was sacked in February, and recent reports have emerged that Javi Gracia could set to suffer the same fate.
But Newsome believes Victor Orta must accept responsibility for the a number of his signings that have failed to make the grade.
"If you want to take the plaudits when things are going well – ‘it’s down to me, it’s down to us, it’s down to recruitment, it’s down to what we’ve done'”, Newsome told BBC Radio Leeds.
“Well, whenever that tide turns, you take responsibility for that as well. It’s a double-edged sword. Some of the business we’ve done, the transfers, are quite baffling. I work in the game, I know it’s not an exact science.
“Not every single transfer is going to work, but there are a lot you scratch your head and wonder why.”
Leeds send scouts to watch Habib Diallo
Leeds are among a host of Premier League clubs who have been linked with Strasbourg striker Habib Diallo.
That is according to Football Insider, who claim Leeds are searching for a new centre-forward and have sent scouts to watch Diallo in action.
The report adds that Diallo is also being scouted by Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Leicester City, West Ham and newly-crowned Championship winners Burnley.
Diallo has notched 17 goals in 32 appearances in Ligue 1 this season - averaging 0.63 goals per 90. He is the joint-fifth top goal scorer in the French top-flight and has scored two goals more than 2022 Ballon D'Or winner Lionel Messi.
The Senegal international, who has scored three goals in 16 caps for his country, joined Strasbourg from FC Metz in 2020. He has scored 101 goals and contributed a further 24 assists in 248 games across France's top two divisions.
Strasbourg have reportedly given permission to his agent Mark McKay to search for interested parties in the summer, and could let him leave if they receive any suitable offers.
