Leeds' Premier League rivals leading the race for Leeds target
Despite being strongly linked with Leeds in recent days, it appears as though Atletico Madrid forward Matheus Cunha is currently closer to joining Wolves than the Whites.
According to transfers expert Fabrizio Romano, the West Midlands outfit have 'no agreement in place yet' however, 'negotiations are ongoing.'

On the other hand, the Italian journalist also mentioned that 'personal terms are key' which could be a way in which the Yorkshire club beat their top-flight counterparts to the Brazilian's signature next month.
Leeds 'keeping an eye on former striker'
With a striker certainly a priority for the January transfer window, the Whites will reportedly 'keep their eye on' the situation of former striker Chris Wood, currently contracted to Newcastle United.
Speaking to GiveMeSport, transfers insider Dean Jones backed Leeds to monitor Wood's situation at St.James' Park, saying: “I think that they should be looking at somebody like Chris Wood, and I think Leeds will keep their eye on that situation.”
The New Zealand international left Leeds for Burnley in 2017 before joining Newcastle last January. However, game time for the 31-year-old will certainly reduce once the Magpies' club-record signing Alexander Isak returns to full fitness.
Leeds backed to reignite interest in summer target
Former Leeds United favourite Paul Robinson has given his full support of the Whites making a second attempt to bring Belgian midfielder Charles De Ketelaere to Elland Road after missing out on the 21-year-old in the summer.
Having been at Club Brugge, De Ketelaere was close to joining the Premier League side before eventually ending up at Italian champions AC Milan. However, the transfer hasn't gone to plan and the Belgian could already be offloaded by last season's Serie A winners.
A loan move could be attempted and Robinson endorsed the potential transfer, telling MOT Leeds News: “He’s gone to AC Milan and can’t get games, so are Leeds in the market of players that aren’t playing? Are they looking at those types of players to strengthen their team?”
