Here are the latest Leeds United transfer rumours on Friday, 20 May 2022.
Newcastle eye Bamford
Newcastle United reportedly have Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford on their list of attacking targets this summer. That is according to the Daily Mail, who claim that the Magpies could target a move for Bamford if Leeds are relegated on Sunday.
Newcastle also have the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Darwin Nunez, Hugo Ekitike and Ivan Toney on their list, and do have reservations over Bamford due to his injury problems this season. The 28-year-old signed a new five-year deal at Elland Road this summer but it remains unclear whether he would want to play in the Championship after his form last season.

Leeds keen on MLS left back
Leeds United are reportedly keen on a summer move for Philadelphia Union left-back Kai Wagner. That is according to Manuel Veth, who claims that Burnley and Middlesbrough are also interested.
Wagner is out of contract in December but Philadelphia do have the option to extend his deal by another year. The 25-year-old German has been playing in the MLS for over three years now since his move in February 2019.
Leeds in race for Cardiff youth
Leeds United are in the race alongside Old Firm sides Rangers and Celtic for young Cardiff City prodigy Japhet Matondo. That is according to Wales Online, who claim Rangers are the latest side to show interest in Matondo after reports earlier in the week about Leeds and Celtic.
The Whites have placed a huge emphasis on youth recruitment since promotion to the Premier League in 2020. That may change if they are relegated on Sunday, however it is likely new faces will be needed at youth level as more and more continue to flood the first team.
